What is the hot therapy like?

We call this hot therapy treatment "Ito Thermie" in Japanese.

Ito Thermie therapy is one of a kind holistic, self-healing, complementary medicine that works on mind and body, promoting blood circulation in the body, good health, harmony and emotional well-being.

It was founded by Japanese MD. Kin-itsu Ito who was looking for a simple means to maintain better health in his patients.

How does this therapy work?

My Ito Thermie session tries to be both soothing and stimulating nerves and muscles.
With Small metal cylinders covering burning incense, sticks are stroked over the whole body or pushed through some trigger points.  The incense sticks are made from several herbs which have been used in traditional systems of medicine, like mugwort/wormwood, pine, loquat leaves, and so on.

The warmness and its heat radiate deeply and gradually throughout whole the body, accelerating blood circulation and  lymphatic fluid. As a result, it relieves many discomfortable symptoms without pains.  Furthermore, it keeps your health maintained.
